Birthday Cake Rice Krispy Treats

Birthday Cake Rice Krispy Treats

If you make these, I promise they will be gone faster than you can say “krispy treat”! A couple years ago I had a serious obsession with Golden Birthday Cake Oreos. They were genuinely dangerous for me, I could not resist. Thankfully, they stopped making the golden birthday cake variety, but they still have the regular chocolate Oreo with birthday cake filling. (You know, just in case you were wondering…) These treats are actually made with the regular Golden Oreo, which is equally amazing!

The Oreo and krispy treat ingredients merged are a match made in heaven and these treats are so addicting! The best part is, they are really easy to make and require no baking. The first step is just measuring out the cereal and crushing most of the Oreos from a package, leaving behind a few for topping. Crushing the cookies with your hand is the easiest way to do this. It’s a messy job, but someone’s got to do it, right?!

Then you melt butter and marshmallows in a saucepan to make the “sauce” that you pour over the cereal and Oreo mixture.

All you do from here is pour this mixture over the cereal and Oreo mixture and stir to combine. This is the hardest part because it’s kind of a sticky mess! Hang in there! Then spread it into a greased and lined 9 x 13 pan and let the treats “settle” into place.

Now you can top these treats with the rest of the crushed Oreos, lots of birthday sprinkles, and marshmallows!

These are the perfect birthday gift because they are easy, delicious, look really pretty, and they’re birthday cake flavored. I mean, who doesn’t love rice krispy treats? Enjoy!
